It’s back! The 6th West Irondequoit Foundation Cornhole Tournament, brought to you by Diamond Packaging, is back on Friday, March 13th and at a new location – the Town of Irondequoit Community Center, 450 Skyview Centre Parkway! Registration starts at 5 p.m. and bags fly at 6 p.m. A field of 32 teams will compete for the $700 first prize; runner-up earns $200.

Thank you to Karla Fichter and Diamond Packaging for once again being our major sponsor! As part of your entry fee, players receive a complimentary beverage from Rising Storm Brewing Company and a food item! Players must be at least 18 years old (but there will be a Kids Zone for children). This is our major fundraising event, so even if you’re not playing, “fans” can come to socialize and support their favorite Cornholers! Cabin fever yet, anyone?
The WIF raises money to underwrite staff-initiated grants for projects, equipment and programs for West Irondequoit schools. Through a strong annual campaign and fundraising, the WIF has granted more than $1.2 million to the WICSD. It is run by a volunteer Board of Directors and relies on the support of community, businesses and alumni to boost educational excellence.

The Foundation has granted more than $1.2 million to West Irondequoit CSD in grants initiated by teachers and staff for programs, supplies, equipment and programs!
"We are extremely thankful for the foundation grant you awarded us for our new garden club at Iroquois. We began this spring with building funds and donations from local businesses, and our students had a great time.! We had over 40 students participate in our gardening club, and they enjoyed learning about different plants and planting all around our school. "
