At the WICSD Board meeting on December 15, 2022, West Irondequoit Foundation President Mrs. Donna DePeters presented the annual grant check to Superintendent Dr. Aaron Johnson, and Board of Education President Mr. Matt Metras and Vice President Mr. Matt Sullivan.

BREAKOUT EDU FOR ROGERS MIDDLE SCHOOL
This grant provides 6 kits to support all grade levels at Rogers to have access to games and puzzles that promote critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork and collaboration.

GARDENING CLUB AT IROQUOIS MIDDLE SCHOOL
This grant supports start-up costs for all necessary supplies and materials for a new club. The Gardening Club will help teach students about plants and landscaping, while positively adding to the school environment and culture.

BREATHE FOR CHANGE 200-HOUR WELLNESS, SEL FACILITATOR & YOGA TEACHER TRAINING
This training is specifically designed for educators who are inspired to use wellness, social emotional learning, and yoga as vehicles for healing and social change.

STRONG VOICES PROJECT: LIBRARY AUDIT & DIVERSIFICATION
The funds for this grant support the diversification of building libraries to ensure each library is providing students with a welcoming space that encourages all students to read and explore.
